Top Companies Gather in Support of Local Veterans at the 2nd Annual Orange County Real Estate Luncheon
Last year alone, over $500,000 in grants were awarded to nonprofit
organizations serving the critical needs of Orange County veterans
IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#OCRELuncheon–Leaders from many of Orange County’s top real estate companies and
financial institutions, in partnership with the Orange County Community
Foundation (OCCF), will come together on Thursday, April 20, in support
of the county’s 130,000 veterans at the 2nd Annual Orange
County Real Estate Luncheon. The event will be held at Hotel Irvine from
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Last year alone, over $500,000 in grants were
awarded to nonprofit organizations serving the critical needs of Orange
County veterans.
This year’s luncheon will feature three-time Super Bowl champion and Air
Force veteran Chad Hennings. Hennings attended the U.S. Air Force
Academy, where he earned numerous athletic and academic honors. He
postponed his entry into the NFL to fulfill his commitment to the U.S.
Air Force. During his four-year stint with the Air Force, Hennings flew
45 missions, received two aerial achievement medals, a humanitarian
award, and outstanding unit award for his actions in the service. After
his discharge, Hennings joined the Dallas Cowboys, retiring in 2001 with
three Super Bowl rings.

Grant is supporting the Tierney Center program, which focuses on supporting the transitioning veteran with the goal of financial independence for the veteran and their family. The Tierney Center will identify and enroll OC Veterans into a central database and provide facilitated referrals and case management as needed to meet the need of veterans and their families. |

Grant is supporting the Bob Hope Veterans Support Program to assist veterans in their transition back to civilian life through peer navigation, case management, and referral strategies to provide assessment, employment services, and holistic support. |
