Travelers Institute Kicks Off 2016 Consumer Insurance Education Series
Symposium Series Provides Families with Insurance Knowledge
HARTFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Travelers
Institute, the public policy division of The Travelers Companies,
Inc. (NYSE: TRV),
today announced the start of its 2016 national consumer insurance
education series, Insurance Essentials: Your Questions Answered. The
series will feature panel discussions with local professionals, who will
join representatives from the Travelers Institute to answer the
community’s questions about insurance-related topics, including
homeowners, rental property, umbrella and other coverage options.
“Our research shows that 40 percent of consumers do not take the time to
review their insurance each year,” said Joan Woodward, President of the
Travelers Institute and Executive Vice President of Public Policy at
Travelers. “Insurance is a vital piece to an individual’s overall
financial plan, and we are pleased to launch our 2016 Insurance
Essentials series to help people understand their coverage and make
thoughtful decisions about the best insurance program for their home and
family.”
The first event is being held today in Westchester County, New York, and
will include the Women’s Council of Realtors Empire Westchester Business
Resource Network and Allan M. Block Insurance Agency, Inc. Woodward will
facilitate the discussion, joined by the following panelists:
