UBTECH’s Alpha 2 and Jimu Robot Named CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honorees
Industry’s Most Nimble, Intelligent and STEM-Friendly Robots to Be
Featured as Part of CES 2017 Innovation Showcase

Robotics, the company that created the cutting-edge Alpha Series of
humanoid robots, today announced its Alpha 2 and Jimu Robot range have
been named CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honorees. The annual awards
celebrate outstanding product design and engineering in brand new
consumer technology products. The Alpha 2, the first humanoid robot for
the family designed for practical household service and companionship,
along with Jimu Robot, an interactive, STEM-friendly robotic building
block system that lets kids 8–14 build, program and share their robot
creations, were selected in the Tech for a Better World category
that honors products that share a common goal or ability to impact the
world in a positive way.

As a CES 2017 Innovation Award Honoree, the Alpha 2 and Jimu Robot

and Animal Add-on Kits, will be featured as part of the CES 2017
Innovation showcase, one of the most popular destinations on the CES
show floor. Additionally, UBTECH will host its own CES booth at Sands
Expo, Hall A-D, booth #42151 to feature and demo its entire line of
innovative robots. CES takes place January 5-8, 2017 in Las Vegas,
Nevada.
Integrated with smartphone technology, the Alpha 2 is a programmable
humanoid device with a smart brain and nimble body than can interact,
help and serve people. Its abilities include managing calendars and
providing verbal updates, conducting home security monitoring and
alerts, and performing various entertainment functions. Jimu Robot
fosters innovation and creativity in kids and teens while providing
valuable STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) learning as they
build and code their robot. The Alpha 2 and Jimu Robot coincide with
