UCLA Anderson Hosting Women’s Leadership Summit

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The annual Anderson Women’s Leadership Summit, presented by Anderson
Women and Women’s Business Connection, brings together more than 450
dynamic female business leaders, leading UCLA Anderson faculty, current
MBA students and alumni in a conference on February 5, 2016, in Korn
Convocation Hall. Titled Velocity, this event explores how women develop
momentum in their careers and proactively address challenges.

This year’s keynote speaker, Jane Wurwand, is the founder and chief
visionary of Dermalogica®, The International Dermal Institute® and FITE.
Other speakers include Cynthia “Cynt” Marshall, AT&T senior vice
president of human resources and chief diversity officer, and Bellamy
Young, actress and producer (First Lady Mellie, “Scandal”).

Several panels and breakout sessions will cover a variety of topics,
ranging from developing leadership style and creating balance in the
tech industry to empowering women through media and working in a male
dominated industry. Other speakers include: Colette Moore (’87), owner
of PrideStaff; Carissa Phelps (JD/MBA ’07), attorney, author, advocate,
Runaway Girl, Inc.; Sonali Kothari (’07), interim chief operating
officer of Kiva; Nike Irvin (’89), vice president Programs of California
Community Foundation; Susan Love, M.D. (’98), chief visionary officer of
Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation; and Tara Syed (BA ’06), Business
Analytics at Pinterest.
