‘Varsity’s American Cheerleader’ Arrives in Select U.S. Cinemas as Two Teams Face Off for the National High School Cheerleading Championship Title

DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Follow the journey of two high school cheerleading teams vying for the
National High School Cheerleading Championship title when Varsity
Spirit’s American Cheerleader
comes to select U.S.
cinemas on Thursday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m. local time and Sunday,
November 8 at 12:55 p.m. local time. Presented by Fathom Events and
Varsity Spirit, this event offers unique and unprecedented access to the
competitive cheer world. In addition to the full-length documentary,
there will be a special introduction that includes a montage of videos
from Varsity Spirit’s archives of memorable performances from the last
three and a half decades. Following the feature will be “The History of
the National High School Cheerleading Championship,” which tells the
story of the event and provides a historical look back at the 35 years
of the championship.

After months of hard work and preparation, cheerleaders from
Southwestern High School in Somerset, Kentucky, and Burlington Township
High School in Burlington, New Jersey, advance through regionals and
earn a place in the Championship Finals to compete for the coveted white
jacket – the prestigious symbol of tireless dedication in high school
competitive cheerleading.
