Ventas Named 2015 Global and North American Healthcare Sector Leader by GRESB

Ventas Honored for Commitments to Sustainability, Social Responsibility
and Good Governance

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Ventas, Inc. (NYSE:VTR) (“Ventas” or the “Company”) said today that it
has been named the 2015 Healthcare Sector Global Leader and North
American Leader by GRESB, the global standard for portfolio-level
sustainability assessment in real estate. Ventas is being recognized for
improving its energy efficiency across its entire portfolio, as well as
its leadership in social responsibility and corporate governance. The
ranking is based on survey results from peers in Ventas’s sector.

of 71 compared with the global average of 56 and a North American
