Victorinox Swiss Army Launches $5K Swiss Army Knife Design Contest
Students invited to design a Swiss Army Knife handle inspired by New
York City or Los Angeles; Top two winning designs receive $5,000 prize
MONROE, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Victorinox
Swiss Army Inc., the company renowned for the iconic Swiss Army
Knife, today launched a design contest for students ages 16 and up to
design a Swiss
Army Knife handle inspired by New York City or Los Angeles.
The ‘little red pocket knife’ with cross and shield emblem is for many a
personal rite of passage growing up as Swiss Army Knives are passed down
through generations and evokes memories of time shared with family and
friends.
Looking for the creative talent of tomorrow, and giving the next
generation an opportunity to put their unique imprint on Swiss Army
Knives, Victorinox Swiss Army created this contest for students to put
on display their visual creativity and have a chance to win a $5,000
‘scholarship’ plus have their winning design sold in select Victorinox
Swiss Army brand stores.

from September 15-30, 2015. Following the entry period, up to 10 of the
top submissions for designs inspired by New York City and Los Angeles as
judged by an internal Victorinox Swiss Army panel will be posted to DesignSAK.com
where fans can vote on their favorites from October 1-8, 2015.

One winner will be selected for New York City and one for Los Angeles.
Winners will be announced on October 15, 2015.
