Waterford Institute Named One of the Top Workplaces Along Utah’s Wasatch Front by The Salt Lake Tribune

SALT LAKE CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Waterford
Institute
was honored Friday as one of the top places to work along
Utah’s Wasatch front by The Salt Lake Tribune based on feedback from
employees in a survey conducted by WorkplaceDynamics for its 2015 Top
Workplaces
award. Waterford was awarded the recognition based on a
workplace culture with high results in organizational health based on
alignment, execution, connection and other criteria.

“We work hard at Waterford Institute to create an enjoyable culture for
our employees and staff so they can make great advancements for the
education of young children throughout the world,” said Ann Treacy,
Waterford vice president of human resources and facilities. “It is a
great honor for our organization and its employees to be recognized for
something we value so highly.”

Waterford Institute, a non-profit organization, focuses at all levels to
be cause driven with a unifying and service-oriented mission. The
organization is welcoming, inclusive and collaborative and strives
diligently to grow a diverse employee base with competitive pay and
benefits.

“We are proud to be a Utah company and have a wonderful group of
talented, passionate employees who love where they work and where they
live,” said Treacy. “Millions of children around the world have learned
to read through Waterford’s curriculum over the past 40 years due to our
talented and smart employees.”

Since January 2014, Waterford Institute has experienced a 119 percent
employee and staff increase along with a more than 200 percent increase
in interns and contractors. The success of the popular UPSTART program
over the past year was in large part due to the hard work of 42 devoted
interns. Waterford believes it will continue to be a Top Workplace
organization in the years to come.

“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes,
people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits,” said Doug
Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “To be a Top Workplace, organizations
must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better
to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day –
the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what is
most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is
headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in
it together.”
