WGL Energy Services Introduces Mobile Energy App in Pennsylvania
WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–WGL Energy Services (WGL Energy), a WGL company (NYSE: WGL), today
announced the availability of a free mobile energy management app for
customers in Pennsylvania’s PPL Electric Utilities territory. Available
exclusively to customers who subscribe to WGL Energy’s residential
electricity offerings, the mobile app provides instant access to their
electricity usage to more effectively track, manage and lower energy
costs.
The downloadable app is powered by WGL Energy’s technology partner Innowatts
through their predictive energy analytics platform Power EASE.
The proprietary platform is the first of its kind in the energy sector
to use predictive technology to provide customers with both historical
trends and analysis, as well as forward looking information,
notifications and alerts that can help them reduce usage and be more
energy efficient. The convenient app comes loaded with individual energy
usage data and is continuously updated with information received
automatically from the account holder’s electricity meter.
