Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital Breaks Ground on New Facility

Prominent Colorado animal hospital expands to 37,000 square feet to
meet growing demand

Ridge Animal Hospital

highest quality care available to pets and their owners.

The new building will be located at 44th and Kipling in Wheat
Ridge, Colo. and will be approximately 37,000 square feet. The new
facility is designed for additional growth and will allow for the
expansion of current and new specialties, like the recently added sports
medicine/rehabilitation, pain management, and ophthalmology. The new
facility will help staff provide a higher level of patient care with
dedicated treatment centers.

Additional enhancements will include:

  • Seven surgery suites
  • Dedicated emergency triage center
  • Dedicated intensive care unit (ICU)
  • Imaging center with a new 26-slice CT scanner and MRI
  • Dedicated dental suite
  • Physical therapy/rehabilitation center
  • Ophthalmology services
  • In-house reference laboratory
  • Expanded animal blood bank
  • Conference/training center
  • Additional patient examination rooms

“We have been providing the most advanced and compassionate care for
pets and their owners for more than 60 years,” said Donald A. Ostwald
Jr., DVM, DABVP, Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations for Ethos
Veterinary Health. “The new hospital will allow our dedicated staff to
continue providing leading edge medical care in a contemporary facility
that gives us the space and technological advances to serve our clients
even better for years to come.”

The hospital was founded in Wheat Ridge, Colo. in 1955 as a one-person
general practice. In 1994, Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital merged with
Denver Veterinary Specialists to combine the general practice and
specialty referral practice. Earlier this year, Wheat Ridge Animal
Hospital joined three other specialty hospitals to become a part of Ethos
Veterinary Health

pets with 14 locations across the U.S.

Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital has maintained accreditation through the
