Women in Localization Launches the China Chapter

SHANGHAI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Women
in Localization
, the leading professional organization for women in
the localization industry, is pleased to announce the launch of the
China Chapter (WL CN).

As the world’s second largest economy with growth rates averaging 10%
over the past 30 years, China’s localization industry has taken off.
China’s population boasts more than 1.35 billion people, and global
companies are anxious to tap into the world’s fastest growing consumer
market. Similarly, Chinese companies are also looking to expand beyond
their borders.

“China is the world’s second largest importer of goods and the largest
exporter globally, creating a huge demand for localization,” says Eva
Klaudinyova, co-founder of Women in Localization and Executive Board
member in charge of international expansion. “The launch of our China
Chapter couldn’t come at a better time.”

China Chapter Manager Morgan Gallup shares, “I’ve lived in China for 9
years and have met many wonderful people in our industry. Through this
group, I know we can learn more from each other and share our successes.”

“Because of the complexities of Chinese localization, a group like this
is paramount,” adds Min Ma, Assistant China Chapter Manager. “It will
not only lend itself to an exchange of best practices, but also serve as
a social outlet, especially for those who are new to China.”

The official launch of the Women in Localization China Chapter will be
held at Zoo Coffee南京西路1618号久光四楼天桥(华山路) in Shanghai on November 19th
at 7:00pm. To RSVP, please click here.
