Women in Technology’s The Leadership Foundry Positions Candidates for Success

Maria Izurieta leverages participation in The Leadership Foundry to
obtain board seat.

FAIRFAX, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Maria Izurieta is the latest alum of Women in Technology’s The
Leadership Foundry to be appointed to a corporate board. Ms. Izurieta, a
2013 graduate of The Leadership Foundry, serves as Audit Committee Chair
on the board of exactEarth, a Canada-based company, which provides
location-based information to the global maritime industry.

Ms. Izurieta brings a strong financial background to exactEarth with
over 20 years of strategic and financial management experience in key
executive positions in both emerging and publicly-traded technology
companies. She is the Chief Financial Officer at 3Pillar Global, and has
been the Chief Executive Officer (acting) and Chief Financial Officer of
Wireless Matrix, Chief Financial Officer at VIPdesk, and Vice President
of Finance and Administration for CyberCash, Inc.

About The Leadership Foundry

The Leadership Foundry was launched in 2011 by Women in Technology (WIT)
to prepare more women to serve on corporate boards in the Washington
D.C. area. The program provides intensive board training sessions as
well as formal and informal networking and mentoring opportunities to
assist women in obtaining their first corporate board seat. The program
has already prepared 60 women for corporate board service, and The
Leadership Foundry’s Class of 2016 is underway.
