Women’s Health Foundation to Transfer Expansive Pelvic Health Content Library to HealthyWomen

Agreement Positions HealthyWomen as the Leading Online Destination
for All Women’s Pelvic Health Information

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Health–Women’s Health Foundation (WHF) is pleased to announce that it will
transfer its extensive content on adult women’s pelvic health to
HealthyWomen (HW), the nation’s leading nonprofit online health
information source for women. This will make HealthyWomen.org’s Pelvic
Health Center the most robust and in-depth online source for women’s
pelvic health and wellness content.

The move allows WHF to focus on pelvic health education for adolescent
girls ages 10 through 14, their parents, educators and health care
providers. With this shift in focus, WHF has been renamed To Know Is To
Know (TKTK). Under this new entity, Below Your Belt (BYB), an L3C
for the development of a pelvic health digital platform has also
been launched. To Know Is To Know will bring pelvic health education and
information to underserved girls in the United States through community
outreach, while Below Your Belt will be an app to teach
adolescent-focused pelvic health material.

TKTK will be led by acting Executive Director Karla Alegria, former
program director at WHF. The BYB initiative is spearheaded by CEO Missy
Lavender, founder of the former WHF. Lavender will serve on both the
HealthyWomen and TKTK advisory boards.

“It’s exciting to add our pelvic health library to HealthyWomen’s rich
online platform,” Lavender said. “We are pleased to hand off the
cornerstone of our last 13 years of work to a trusted ally, while we
pivot our focus to adolescent youths—the future of women’s pelvic health
and wellness. To bend the health care cost curve, we have to start
young.”

“Through its extensive content, Women’s Health Foundation has educated
and informed women on the importance of pelvic health for years,” said
Beth Battaglino, HealthyWomen CEO. “We are thrilled with this content
acquisition, because it gives us the opportunity to become the leading
online destination for women’s pelvic health content and allows WHF to
focus on the pelvic health and wellness of adolescents.”
