Yahoo Announces New Original Video Content Across Digital Magazines for Fall 2015

“SuperFan Live” to Premiere September 23 as Part of “SuperFan”

LOS ANGELES & SUNNYVALE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) today announced the launch date of SuperFan Live,
exclusive aftershow specials on Yahoo TV for today’s most loved
television series, set to premiere on September 23, 2015.
Additionally, the company will be premiering new programs within Yahoo’s
Digital Magazine properties while continuing to bring viewers some of
the fall’s best live events.

Yahoo SuperFan

SuperFan Live, which was announced as part of the 2015
NewFront
, is premiering on September 23 at 10 p.m. PT with an
episode dedicated to FOX’s smash hit, Empire, immediately
following its second season premiere. Then on September 29 at 7
a.m. PT SuperFan Live will partner with broadcast television’s
highest-rated Sunday night drama, ABC’s Once
Upon a Time
and on September 30 at 7 a.m. PT with
their highly acclaimed series Marvel’s
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Each episode will feature experts, influencers and industry insiders as
they discuss everything from guest stars to major plot shockers. Fans
will also be encouraged to submit questions, fan art and chime into the
conversation via Skype.

In addition, Yahoo will rebrand the company’s beloved entertainment
video programming – TV in No Time and The Yahoo Movies Show
– to Yahoo SuperFan. The rebrand will take place on September
16,
reiterating the company’s commitment to bringing fans their
daily fix of the best moments of daytime, primetime, late night
television and movie recaps.

Live Programming

Yahoo’s upcoming live event coverage includes:

  • September 13, 2015: Fantasy
    Football Live
    on Yahoo Sports: The award-winning
    fantasy broadcast celebrates its 10th season with industry leading
    expert analysis and up-to-the-minute injury reports every Sunday
    morning to help set your roster and win your league. The series
    will begin
    September 13, 2015 and last throughout football
    season.
  • September 18 – 19, 2015:
    iHeartRadio Festival:
    The mega-concert event live streamed from
    Las Vegas, featuring Kanye West, Jennifer Lopez, Sam Smith, Coldplay,
    Demi Lovato, David Guetta, Kenny Chesney, The Weeknd, Tove Lo, Lil
    Wayne, Fall Out Boy, Disclosure, Hozier, Jason Derulo, Duran Duran,
    Prince Royce, Diplo, Trey Songz, The Killers, Blake Shelton, Nick
    Jonas, Janet Jackson and more. The show will be live on September
    18 and September 19 beginning at 7:30 p.m. PT.
  • September 20, 2015: 67th Emmy
    Awards Pre and Post Shows on Yahoo Style and Yahoo TV
    : Catch all
    the stars on the red carpet and later recap the night with host, Yahoo
    Style Editor-In-Chief Joe Zee, along with fashion correspondent, June
    Ambrose, and arrivals correspondent, Amy Paffrath. Live pre and
    post shows will be held September 20, 2015, beginning at 3:30 p.m. PT
    and 8:00 p.m. PT, respectively.
  • September 26 – September 27, 2015:
    Landmark Music Festival:
    Yahoo and Live Nation’s music festival
    live stream series presents Landmark from Washington, D.C. to
    celebrate our diverse musical heritage and energize the movement to
    restore our nation’s common ground. The festival will live stream
    on the Live Nation Channel on Yahoo on September 26 & 27.
  • October 25, 2015: Yahoo
    presents the first-ever NFL free global live stream between the
    Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars from London, U.K.. The game
    will live stream beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET.
  • October 30 – November 1, 2015:
    Voodoo Music + Arts Experience:
    Yahoo and Live Nation’s music
    festival live stream series presents Voodoo from New Orleans, LA, a
    multi-day music and arts festival. The festival will live stream on
    the Live Nation Channel on Yahoo from October 30 through November 1.

Digital Magazine Video Series

Yahoo is currently developing multiple new series for the Digital
Magazine properties, including:

  • October 4, 2015: What It’s
    Like
    on Yahoo Parenting:
    Unique and extraordinary experiences
    of parenthood in an intimate documentary format. We’ll learn what it’s
    like from experiences such as a single father with full custody,
    delivering a child at 25 weeks, raising a son with Down Syndrome, as
    well as many other powerful experiences. The series will premiere
    on October 4, 2015.
  • Date TBA: Tip of the Day
    on Yahoo Tech:
    Tips and tricks focused on the most popular
    consumer products like Facebook and Netflix, and IT emergency tips for
    times when software crashes or you’ve been hacked. The series will
    premiere in late 2015.
