ZapGo President to Present at 34th Annual International Battery Seminar & Exhibit on March 23 in Fort Lauderdale

ZapGo to Highlight Safety, Fast Charging Time of Zap&Go Carbon-Ion™
Cells

CHARLOTTE, N.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Charles Resnick, President of US Operations at ZapGo Inc., a division of
ZapGo Ltd, will present a talk titled “Replacing Lithium-Ion Batteries
in Consumer Applications” at the 34th Annual International Battery
Seminar & Exhibit at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center in Fort
Lauderdale, Florida on Thursday, March 23 at 3:35 PM ET.

Mr. Resnick will discuss the benefits of the Zap&Go Carbon-Ion™ cell
composed of carbon, aluminum and water-based aqueous
materials—properties that are completely safe, recyclable and quick
charging. Unlike Li-ion, which is a battery and works by an
electrochemical reaction, the Zap&Go C-Ion cells can last through more
charge/discharge cycles because there is no electrochemistry to wear out
and be fully charged in under five minutes. As such, the Zap&Go
Carbon-Ion™ cell has the potential to replace lithium-ion batteries in
consumer applications and is scheduled to be embedded in several
products on the market by the end of 2017. ZapGo has already developed a
powerbank mobile charger, an 18-volt hand drill, an electric scooter and
a cleaner, all of which can be charged in less than five minutes and can
be shipped with none of the restrictions that apply to Li-ion.

“The limitations of Li-ion battery technology are becoming more apparent
daily. As such, there is an immediate need for viable new solutions that
are not only extremely safe but also improve upon the features that
consumers demand, such as fast recharge time, in a wide range of
products,” Mr. Resnick said. “In my talk, I look forward to spotlighting
the fact that a fresh strategy—Carbon-Ion™ technology—has now moved
beyond the development/lab stage and has already been incorporated into
an array of working devices that are being prepared for
commercialization.”

Founded in 1983, the International Battery Seminar & Exhibit has
established itself as the premier event showcasing the state of the art
of worldwide energy storage technology developments for consumer,
automotive, military and industrial applications. Key thought leaders
will assemble to not only provide broad perspectives, but also informed
insights into significant advances in materials, product development,
manufacturing and application for all battery systems and enabling
technologies. As the longest-running annual battery industry event in
the world, this meeting has always been the preferred venue to announce
significant developments and new products, and to showcase the most
advanced battery technology.
