Women in Manufacturing Elects 2016 Chairperson

CLEVELAND–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#gendergap–Women in Manufacturing (WiM) has elected Sheila LaMothe, associate
director of marketing and public relations for Farmington,
Connecticut-based TRUMPF Inc., 2016 chairperson of the WiM Board of
Directors. LaMothe takes the reins after serving as WiM’s vice
chairperson in 2015 and participating on the WiM Summit host committee
for the past four years.

Zierick Manufacturing Corporation President Gretchen Zierick for her
outstanding leadership during the past year,” said LaMothe. “I look
forward to working with WiM’s board and staff members to continue to
provide year-round support to women in the manufacturing industry,
helping them to grow and succeed in their careers and helping to build a
stronger manufacturing sector for the future.”

LaMothe is a sought-after industry communications expert who brings 25
years of manufacturing marketing experience to her new role leading the
WiM board. In addition to her work as TRUMPF’s associate director of
marketing and public relations, she is a member of the FMA, SME, AWS,
SPIE, the FABTECH Exhibitor Advisory Council, and the SPIE Expositions
and Events Committee. Prior to joining TRUMPF in 2002, LaMothe
facilitated connections between Connecticut manufacturers and sales
representatives in Europe and Asia as an international trade specialist
with the Department of Economic and Community Development, and worked as
group marketing manager for an international aerospace components
manufacturer.

WiM SUMMIT in Nashville, TN; a Leadership Lab for Women in Manufacturing
