Amerigroup to Help Texans during Medicare Annual Enrollment Period

Medicare-eligible Texans can come to select H-E-B Pharmacy locations
to receive helpful guidance about their Medicare options

SAN ANTONIO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Amerigroup is working to help Medicare-eligible Texans understand their
2018 health insurance options during the Annual Election Period (AEP)
occurring now through December 7.

“People eligible for Medicare can find the annual enrollment process
confusing because there are a lot of options and things to consider when
choosing a plan, like their health status, plan benefits, and
out-of-pocket costs,” said Josh Martin, President of the company’s
Medicare West region. “That’s why we’re working to meet Texans where
they are every day and help make the Medicare enrollment process that

Representatives from Amerigroup will be onsite at H-E-B Pharmacies, a
recently added pharmacy that accepts Amerivantage Medicare Advantage
plans. Amerigroup representatives will be at locations listed below from
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT on November 14, 16, 18, 21, 28, and 30.

  Attendees are encouraged to think about what they like and don’t like
  about their current health insurance plans, as well as their health care
  needs for 2018. Do they have a chronic condition that requires seeing
  specialists, or taking medications, on a regular basis? Is there a
  specific plan benefit – dental, hearing or vision; fitness program; low
  or no copays, etc. – that they’d like to have in their 2018 health plan?
  Do they want to see a certain doctor or get their medications filled at
  a particular pharmacy? Amerigroup representatives can help consumers
  determine if there’s an Amerigroup Medicare Advantage plan that’s right
  for them.
