Bay Area Women’s Leadership Symposium by the USCG Women’s Leadership
The symposium, which is scheduled for March 28 at Coast Guard Island in
Alameda, Calif., will feature keynote speaker Liz Wiseman, author of
“Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter.” Coast Guard
Vice Adm. (Ret.) Jody Breckenridge, a member of the First Command Board
of Directors, will be opening the symposium.
The 2017 Bay Area Women’s Leadership Symposium is sponsored by the USCG
Women’s Leadership Initiative, which supports mentoring, leadership
training and professional development opportunities for Coast Guard
women in uniform and civilians. Their goal is to increase women’s
retention in the Coast Guard and provide a bridge for service personnel
to achieve success following their Coast Guard careers.
