Multimillion Dollar Renovation of Country Club Hills Cinema Energizes the Community

Marcus Theatres® unveils a
premier entertainment facility with all new amenities and creates more
than 160 jobs

MILWAUKEE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Marcus
Theatres®
, a division of The
Marcus Corporation
(NYSE:MCS), has transformed Country Club Hills
Cinema into a state-of-the-art entertainment complex for the community
to enjoy. Purchased earlier this year, the 16-screen, 85,000-square-foot
facility was completely gutted during the construction process and
reopened as a brand new theatre this month.

“The redevelopment of the movie theatre is a win-win for Country Club
Hills,” said Mayor James W. Ford. “In addition to Marcus Theatres
investing in the building renovation to create a premier entertainment
experience, they have further invested in the community by creating more
than 160 jobs. We appreciate their efforts in contributing to the
successful revitalization of our neighborhood.”

Moviegoers at Marcus Country Club Hills Cinema will enjoy a variety of
innovations, including DreamLoungerSM recliner seating in all
16 auditoriums with double the legroom between rows and the comforts of
home. Guests can go from a seated upright position to a full recline at
the touch of a button. Plus, reserved seating enables a convenient and
stress-free experience upon arrival.

The theatre offers three premium, large-format (PLF) auditoriums,
including the UltraScreen DLX® experience with a
massive screen, and two SuperScreen DLX® auditoriums
with oversized screens. Each has DreamLounger seating and Dolby®
Atmos® multidimensional sound with speakers in the front,
back and sides of the room and even along the ceiling for an immersive
audio experience.

Guests in all three of the PLF auditoriums will also have the option for
heated seating, which can be turned on or off with the simple push of a
button. Country Club Hills Cinema is the third Marcus Theatres location,
and the second in Illinois, to offer heated seats.

Outside the auditoriums, new amenities continue in the theatre lobby
with two food and beverage concepts. The Take FiveSM Lounge
provides a casual, relaxing environment where guests can mingle with a
cocktail, appetizer or meal, before or after a movie. Beverages may also
be taken into any auditorium to enjoy during a film. The Take Five at
Country Club Hills is one of the company’s largest lounges, and can also
act as a venue for group outings or for watching sporting events on an
impressive 25-foot, wall-mounted screen.

The newest food concept from Marcus Theatres will become a key part of
this theatre experience, as well. Reel Sizzle® serves up
nostalgia with menu items inspired by classic Hollywood and the iconic
diners of the 1950s. Americana fare like burgers, chicken tenders,
crinkle cut fries with ‘sizzle seasoning’ and signature shakes, are
prepared on a griddle behind the counter.

Those who prefer traditional movie theatre snacks like popcorn, candy,
nachos, soft pretzel bites and fountain drinks will find a variety of
options behind a brand new concessions counter. Additionally, everything
else is new – from the lobby to the box office and the building
exterior. Guests are sure to notice a big difference.

“Marcus Theatres is excited to join the Country Club Hills community,”
said Rolando Rodriguez, president and chief executive officer of Marcus
Theatres. “With the opening of this new cinema, we’ve expanded our
presence to six theatres and 100 total screens in the Chicagoland-area.
We look forward to serving the community for years to come in this
ultimate entertainment destination.”
