ABBYY® introduces Business Card Reader for Android and iOS for Managing Business Cards Contacts

BARCELONA, Spain–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ABBYY, a global leader in consumer and enterprise mobile applications,
announces the availability of the latest versions of its powerful,
multi-functional contact data management app – ABBYY Business Card
Reader for iOS and Android in Spanish.

Business Card Reader recognizes contact data from business cards in just
two taps. It accurately captures contact information from business cards
in as many as 22 languages and saves it automatically either in
Contacts, or the CardHolder – internal digital storage of the app.

Users can easily use captured contacts to dial phone numbers, write
e-mails, find a company address on maps or look for extra details about
a person through social networks (LinkedIn®, Facebook®, Twitter®).
Android and iOS users of ABBYY Business Card Reader are able to swiftly
share their digital cards via available Wi-Fi network, as well as SMS
and e-mail.

The application has a stylish and intuitive design based on users’
feedback and usability testing. It allows for instinctive interaction
with the program when taking snapshots of cards and managing contact
data.

The Free version of BCR iOS allows for as much as 15 recognitions. When
they are over, users can upgrade to a Premium account using 1-month or
1-year subscription. The Premium account provides unlimited recognition
of contact cards, sync data between user’s iOS and Android-based devices
and ability to export cards database to Excel.

BCR Free for Android can recognize and save all the data from 10
business cards. When they are over, user can upgrade to the BCR Pro
(paid version $10) to process unlimited amount of business cards and get
access to all other Premium features.

Latest Update for iOS

This new iOS update captures data from business cards with minimal user
interaction and is faster than other card scanning apps. The updated
version of the app automatically focuses the camera on a business card,
detects the card’s edges, crops any extraneous background, and takes a
picture “all by itself.” The user’s only job is to point the device’s
camera at a business card, with no need to even touch the Photo button.

Additionally, the iOS version of application now allows users to export
their business card collection directly to Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
to work with contacts on PC.
