Free Golf, Great Deals, Free Lessons Coming This Weekend to the Chicago Golf Show

Baseball Hall-of-Famers Tim Raines & Ryne Sandberg to Appear

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Motivated by the area’s recent unseasonably warm weather, golfers will
be looking for free golf, free lessons, and great deals at this
weekend’s Chicago Golf Show Presented by French Lick Resort at the
Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.

In addition to those traditional Show staples, this year’s annual
festival of golf will feature baseball Hall-of-Fame members Tim Raines,
formerly of the White Sox, and legendary Cub second baseman Ryne
Sandberg, who have traded in their legendary bats for golf clubs.

This will be Raines’ first appearance in Chicago since he was named to
the Hall of Fame on Jan. 17 of this year. He will appear on the Daily
Herald Main Stage at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 with nationally renowned
golf instructor Joe Bosco of the Glen Club.

Sandberg, a 2005 H-O-F inductee, is scheduled to appear with Bosco on
the Main Stage at 1:15 p.m. Sunday.

The Show, which typically attracts some 20,000 attendees, opens at noon
at Friday, Feb. 24 and runs through 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26.

Hundreds of exhibitors will be selling golf equipment, balls, shoes,
apparel and more at deep discounts. Golfers from across the Chicago area
will be purchasing new items in anticipation of the upcoming golf
season. Golf travel also will be a focus of the show, with dozens of
travel destinations on hand to help golfers with their next golf trip.

“Great deals, free golf and free lessons have been the focus of the
Chicago Golf Show for more than three decades and this year we are
thrilled to have Hall-of-Fame members Tim Raines and Ryne Sandberg – who
are very avid golfers – join us,” said Show operator Tom Corcoran.

For the eighth consecutive year, every attendee is eligible to receive a
free round of golf, courtesy of GolfVisions Management, Inc., which
operates 16 courses in the Chicago metropolitan area.

Big-time tournament golf also will be participating in this year’s Show.
The U.S. Open at Erin Hills GC, the Women’s PGA Championship, and the
NCAA Championships at Rich Harvest Farms all will be on hand.
