Legalbase.de: Germany gets new online platform for legal services
BERLIN–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Berlin-based start-up company Legalbase announced the launch of Legalbase.de,
a digital platform allowing businesses and consumers access to legal
services for a fixed price. All legal services offered on Legalbase.de
are provided by a network of experienced and independent attorneys
focusing on transparent and efficient legal solutions.
“Our goal is to transform the legal market by enabling those seeking
legal advice to find it quickly, reliably and for a good value”, says
co-founder Daniel Biene. It is currently challenging to find a suitable
lawyer in the German market. A study from Forsa1 showed that
in 70% of all cases in which professional legal advice is necessary,
lawyers are not consulted for fear of high costs and lack of quality.
Legalbase’s platform seeks to remove these obstacles. The platform
currently covers common legal issues including employment law, corporate
law, and trademark law. Reviewing employment agreements, drawing up
documents associated with forming a company, and filing a trademark can
all be handled through the platform. The price as well as the scope of
work is always clearly communicated before the lawyer begins work on any
assignment.
Legalbase was founded in Berlin in 2015 by Daniel Biene, Christoph
Jenke, and Peter Schink. The founders have significant track records in
media, law, and entrepreneurship. In November 2015 Legalbase
successfully closed a seven-digit seed round led by LegalZoom, the
market leader for digital legal solutions in the U.S., as well as
Amsterdam and London based venture capital fund Orange Growth Capital
and Norselab, a Norwegian start-up incubator.
Like LegalZoom in the US and the UK, Legalbase’s goal is to make quality
legal help affordable and accessible to the German market, stated Frank
