The Vida Consultancy: Leading Matchmaking Agency Provides Safe Haven for Gay and Lesbian Community

LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Vida Consultancy, the exclusive global matchmaking agency, has
recently expanded its offline matchmaking business to include a gay and
lesbian division. The service is intended to provide a discreet,
intelligent solution for sophisticated individuals looking to find their
perfect partner while also providing a safe haven for gay and lesbians
to form lasting relationships.

Headed up by British Canadian psychologist Jacqueline Burns, who
conducted academic research into homosexual relationships as part of her
Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology at the University of Westminster,
says the bespoke service is much needed.

“When it comes to relationships, psychologists analyse and observe the
construct of compatibility. As matchmakers, we use that same
psychological knowledge and experience when considering each one-on-one
introduction.

“When you think that around 10%* of the world’s population consider
themselves gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or transgender, it’s surprising that
there are relatively few agencies that truly understand the needs of the
gay community.

“Our experience shows that the gay community generally spurn the
straight relationship model, while the lesbian community often avoid
traditional gender roles.

“There is also a pressing need to provide an alternative to online
dating sites and apps which are encountering increasing problems with
issues of quality, privacy, health, and safety.

“Recent events in the online dating space are worrying. For example, the
Ashley Madison hacking illustrated the need to overcome issues of
privacy and security; incidents of violence while using online dating
sites and apps are rising, and there is a growing need for HIV
prevention in the context of online dating apps in particular.” she
explained.

“Fortunately our screening process, the personal relationships we
develop with our clients and our highly confidential approach means we
don’t encounter such problems. Unlike online dating sites, and dating
apps, our approach means that we really understand each client’s values,
energy and characteristics.”

“We have only recently set up the division,” Jacqueline adds, “and we
already have members from all over the world.”

The appointment of Jacqueline Burns boosts the all-female core team who
run the international operations from offices in London’s Mayfair.
